Taco Bell’s Boozy “Cantina” Restaurant Concept Is Headed To Vegas

For those who may have questioned Taco Bell’s decision to open its first boozy Cantina restaurant in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood, the location for the fast food chain’s next Cantina outpost – its third – makes a bit more sense: the Las Vegas strip.

Taco Bell announced Tuesday that its third Cantina restaurant will take on all of the flash, glitz, and booze that is synonymous with Las Vegas from its location near the Cosmopolitan hotel.

The restaurant, which will operate 24 hours a day and serve as a flagship restaurant, will take on the same concepts that can be found at the Chicago and San Francisco locations: open kitchen layout, community seating, sharable menu times, and, of course, boozy drink options.

Additionally, Taco Bell says the new two-story restaurant will offer an outdoor patio area, digital displays, and other offerings “unique to the Las Vegas experience.”

“When we talked about where to establish a flagship store, it didn’t take long to realize that having a presence in the heart of Vegas would undoubtedly create a unique, distinctive and fun destination and experience for Taco Bell fans,” Brian Niccol, CEO at Taco Bell Corp., said in a statement.

The company says that after completing the Las Vegas restaurant, for which an exact opening date wasn’t specified, the concept could find a home in Atlanta.
