The Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko has
recommended that controversial televangelist Apostle James Maina
Ng’ang’a be charged on three counts over the fatal road accident in Naivasha.

Mercy Njeri, on the busy Nairobi- Naivasha highway -
In a statement that was sent to newsrooms on Tuesday, DPP Keriako Tobiko
recommended that Apostle Ng’ang’a be charged with causing death by
dangerous driving, giving false information to the authorities and failing
to report an accident contrary to section 73 of the constitution.
Two other suspected accomplices of pastor Ng’ang’a, Martin Mbugua Ndung’u
and Simon Kuria, will also be charged alongside him with permitting a person
to drive a motor vehicle on the road without a valid provisional driving licence
and giving false information to the authorities respectively.
The DPP also recommended that two police officers Inspector Patrick Baya and Inspector
Christopher Nzilu Nzioka for neglect of duty and giving false information to a person
employed in the public service.
